Eliza Fae Burnham

Our Beautiful little girl has arrived! June 9th 2010 at 6:36pm! 6 lbs 9 oz. 19 1/2 inches long! The morning of the 9th I had a doc. apt. and had my membranes stripped, and within a few hours i was experiencing some intense contractions, but refused to go to the hospital until I couldn't stand the pain any longer, and they were not consistent enough for me. Finally after a good 3 hours of contractions I couldn't stand the pain and decided I would take my chances and go into the hospital. By the time Taylor picked me up and we got Nicole home to watch Madilyn for us, it was around 4:30pm when we got to the hospital, once we checked in and got to see the nurse and was hooked up to the machine and checked for the dialation it was around 5:00pm. I was already dialated to a 6 cm, once the doctor got there I was at an 8cm. He broke my water at 8 cm and all he did was walk out of the room and I started to panic and "yelling" that I need to push...within 5 mins Eliza came flying out, the doctor barely caught her. It was by far the worst pain I have ever felt in my entire life, but so worth the pain. I wasn't sure if I would ever be able to give birth naturally, but I did it!!!!! Can't say I would do it again, but at least I can say I did it once and experienced it!

Eliza is so amazing, she is such a calm and pleasant baby...we love her so much! Madilyn has been doing really well with Eliza around, and has been really good with her. We feel extremely blessed!!!!!
